Make room in your Holiday calendars for the first Inter-Dads Club Billiards Tournament at 8pm on Tuesday, December 8th in the Northern Room at B Street Billiards (164 South B Street in San Mateo).
All five Burlingame elementary school’s Dads Clubs will be representing as we play two table round-robin 9-ball.
Additional tables will be available outside of tournament play, so come enjoy some pool, snacks, drinks and camaraderie!
LobsterFest ’09 completely sold out and was a huge success thanks to the energy and hard work of all our many volunteers.
In particular, fearless LobsterFest leader Tom Bruno made the move from our traditional spring date to November look easy.

This is officially your last chance to snag your spot at LobsterFest ’09. With well over 200 tickets sold we are rapidly approaching max capacity for the venue, and expect to sell out again this year! Don’t miss out on the yummy food, great company and of course, the fog machine!

As you may have heard tell, or seen in the latest Links, the morning of Friday, October 30th is “Donuts with Dad” in the Library.
While not a Dads Club event, “Donuts with Dad” is a great way to kick off the Book Fair (not to mention load up on sugar and caffeine).
Here’s the skinny from the Links:

CALLING ALL DADS!! Help us kick off the Book Fair TOMORROW, Friday, October 30th by having a donut and coffee while you shop. We will see you from 7:30am – 8:30am in the Library!”

Movie Night is upon us! The web based volunteer sign up page is now live. Please visit it and sign up now! We’ll be showing the movie “Bolt” at 7pm this Friday, October 16th. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $5 each and come with a hotdog, drink, popcorn and also get the holder entry into a raffle at intermission. Additional raffle tickets are $1 each and candy is also $1. It’s been in the Links for the last two week and we’ll get some posters and signage up, but word of mouth is key, so talk it up!
Tiger recently called up Lincoln Dad Bob Palacio asking “Yo Bob, the tournament’s been rough. Do you think you can come down to the Presidents Cup and be my lucky charm?” To which Bob replied, “OK, but I gotta represent with my Lincoln Wear. And you gotta make sure I get plenty of camera time on national TV”.
Done and done!
With fearless leader and North Dad Will Evans, Lincoln Dads Jeremy Gordon and Bob Palacio infiltrated the Roosevelt Chili Cook-Off walking away with the award for “Best Original Name”. The crowds were pleased and left crying from a seriously spicy meat and bean heavy chili deceptively described as “oh, you know, medium spicy”. The winning chili was BCE’s entrant…hmmm, good politics? Or just good chili!
